Using an energized metal‑detection head to generate a magnetic field, the system senses disturbances in that field caused by metal passing through the non‑metallic pipeline. When a metal contaminant is detected, an alarm is triggered and the downstream three‑way diverter valve is activated to remove the contaminated product.
